Meet

Gordon Ramsay

The Beginning
Before the kitchen, there was the playing field. At a young age, Gordon Ramsay embarked upon a career in soccer. Convinced he would land a role with the Glasgow Rangers, he suffered an untimely injury. Upon returning to college to study hotel management, he had an epiphany: he would reign supreme in the restaurant business.

The Path to Hell
May 2004 saw Ramsay star in Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, a series of four one-hour programs, later honored with two BAFTA Awards and an International Emmy. The program was launched simultaneously with the recipe book Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Heaven. Shortly after this, Ramsay was given two weeks to direct a group of celebrities toward Michelin-standard cooking in the hit ITV series HELL’S KITCHEN.

The following year confirmed Ramsay as a major television talent. A second season of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares was followed by the very successful U.S. version of HELL’S KITCHEN for FOX.

Today, with Season 6 premiering on FOX on July 21, HELL’S KITCHEN is hotter than ever!

Some Self-Promotion
Apart from being a food connoisseur, “hell raiser” in the kitchen, and well-known autobiographer, Ramsay makes sure his legacy remains. Gordon’s dishes can be found in his restaurants all over the globe.
